Eminem Rapture 2018 | Tour information

The Rap God is on his way! Eminem is touring Australia, after the surprise release of his new album Kamikaze in 2018 which spent four straight weeks on top of the ARIA albums charts!

Guess who’s back?

Obviously, we’re in Brisbane, so the only concert we want tickets to is IN Brisbane!

The Eminem Rapture Concert will be held on the 20th February 2019, at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC).

QSAC is home to a 48,500 seat Main Stadium, the State Athletics Facility, the QAS Recovery Centre, Indoor Sports Arena and an eight court Beach Volleyball Complex.

So there’s room for everyone (if you managed to score a ticket.. Tickets are also sold out BTW ).

Accommodation for the Rapture

You’ve got great seats but now you’re broke? Well, tickets to the hottest rap concert weren’t ever going to be cheap..

Don’t worry: We’ve got you covered for accommodation that won’t break the bank.

Brisbane Holiday Village is not only close to QSAC via car, bus, train, plane and pogo-stick (please can someone do this), but we also offer the BEST rates on our Holiday Cabins, Caravan and Camp Sites when you book directly with us!

We’re located in Eight Mile Plains – only 15 minutes from Brisbane City and 20 minutes from the Gold Coast.

Pre-prep for the concert in an awesome cabin (we recommend the Vogue – Luxury and affordability) and enjoy our resort style facilities like our Lagoon Pool, Fully Licensed Restaurant, Tennis Court, BBQ area and sport field to name a few!

Don’t hesitate to give us a call on 07 3341 6133 for more information, or to make a booking!

Transport to the Rapture

It’s lucky Brisbane Holiday Village is so close to Brisbane – we have many options that’ll help you avoid the parking lots of a jam-packed stadium!

Right outside the Village is a bus stop (talk about convenient)! This bus stop takes you to the Garden City Bus Depot (5 mins up the road) and through the City for your all concert needs! You also can walk up to the Garden City Bus Depot (15 min walk form the Village) to jump on a bus to the train station, heading in either direction. There are 2 trains stations located near to the village, both head into Brisbane City or to the Gold Coast.

Our front reception also offers a Taxi-Butler push-to-call service if you’d like to call for a taxi.

Additional Tour Dates

Eminem may be back, but he’s not staying long! Check out the (very) short list of his additional shows:

  • Sydney
    • February 22, 2019
    • ANZ Stadium
  • Sydney
    • February 24, 2019
    • MCG

    • February 27, 2019

Enjoy the concert!

I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CARAVAN

Big dreams have bloomed from the iconic colourful LEGO brick, but always on a teeny tiny scale. No one owned enough LEGO to build the life-size versions of their dreams… Until Now

THE DREAM:

Take one 1973 Viscount Royal vintage caravan and over 280,000 LEGO bricks and make the World’s Largest Caravan!

It took over 10 weeks, 500 man-hours, 700kg of LEGO bricks, 70 litres of glue and a team of over 16 incredible volunteers to build the 2.2-metre-tall, 5-metre-long caravan, equipped with a double bed, wardrobe sink, stove, refrigerator, dinette, cupboards with sliding draws and other features typical of a 1970’s caravan – all made out of LEGO bricks!

The Caravan was started in March 2018 by professional LEGO builder Ben Craig in his garage on the Gold Coast and was funded by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and Top Parks, with the intent to break the Guinness World Record for the largest caravan made from LEGO bricks at the 50th Anniversary of the Queensland Caravan Camping & Touring Supershow earlier this year.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond their control, the caravan remained incomplete by the show’s end, as the ceiling needed a few final touches..

For a project that cost in excess of $100,000 (by comparison, a 1973 Viscount Royal would have cost around $2000 brand new), the creators were not to be dissuaded – the Caravan is coming to Brisbane Holiday Village and WILL break the record!

Migaloo has Arrived!

Our iconic white whale has started his migration north along the east coast of Queensland, and you’re invited to join him!

It’s whale watching season, and our favourite (and only) white whale, Migaloo has been spotted off the east-coast of Queensland!

But who is Migaloo? and how do you see him? Why is he so rare? We’ve got your answers!

WHO IS MIGALOO?

Facts:

  • Migaloo is an adult white male humpback whale
  • Estimated to be about 32 years old (born in 1986)
  • Migaloo definitely stands out from the crowd with white pigmented exterior and brown eyes.
  • White humpback whales are pretty unique. Extra protection is given to white whales under Queensland and Commonwealth Government legislation.
    • No vessel can be within 500 metres of Migaloo.
  • Migaloo’s name means ‘white fella’ in some Aboriginal languages
  • Migaloo was the first white whale sighted in 1991 when he passed through Byron Bay.
  • There are only about 3-4 other white humpback whales that we know about, including: Bahloo, Willow and Migaloo-Jnr.

I WANT TO SEE WHALES!

Our friends at Tourism and Events Queensland have all the details on  Where to go whale watching in Queensland – the only thing they’re missing is where to stay when you come to see them!

OKAY, I’M GOING WHALE WATCHING – WHERE CAN I STAY?

Brisbane Holiday Village has a wide range of accommodation options!
We’re located just 15 minutes away from Brisbane’s CBD and 20 minutes away from the Gold Coast – close to public transport or a quick drive to your whale watching experience!

The sunshine state – the beautiful beaches, palm trees, majestic sunsets and consistently glorious weather. Brisbane is a jewel of a city, and a great place to spend time during your family holiday. But what about the kids? Making sure that they have some quality fun and a few adventures is just what a family holiday is all about. Let’s check out the top 10 fun things to do with the kids in and around Brisbane!

1.Theme Parks

We put this first because it’s really a no-brainer! The Theme Parks – from Wet and Wild through to Dreamland – are really one of the best places to take the kids when you’re staying near Brisbane. Plus they’re only a 25 minute drive from Brisbane Holiday Village!

2. The Gold Coast

Surfs up! The Gold Coast is a short, 50 minute drive from Brisbane and is a great place to take the kids. They’ll lap up the waves, enjoy building some sand castles and the whole family will enjoy the beautiful beaches.

3. South Bank

South Bank is a must see while in Brisbane, where else can you laze around a man-made beach in the middle of the city! With plenty of food and shopping options for you and the kids, it’ll be hard not to spend a full day here. There is always something fun happening at South Bank so make sure you check to see what is on while you are in Brisbane.

4. The Museum

The Museum of Brisbane is an interesting and educational location that’s just perfect for a holiday with the kids. While camping out around Brisbane can be a great way to get in touch with the great outdoors, the kids will benefit from some indoor learning here. If you get time, the Science Centre is right next door to the museum and the kids will love the interactive displays.

5. Mt Coot-tha Lookout

Take the kids on a walk to JC Slaughter Falls and see art work by local Aboriginal artists along the way. Then head up to the lookout for one of the most amazing views of Brisbane city and to top it off, treat the kids to an ice-cream at the cafe, after all it wouldn’t be a family holiday without ice cream!

6. Parks and Gardens

Brisbane has a number of parks and public gardens around, including the lush Botanical Gardens. Why not pack a picnic and have some quality time in the great outdoors with your family?

7. Bowling
