Australia Zoo is located on the Sunshine coast. Wildlife warriors and conservationists unite to bring you an interactive, educational, up close and personal animal experience like no other.

Location

Australia Zoo is located off the Bruce Highway at 1638 Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah, Queensland, 4519.

To get there from Brisbane, follow the Bruce Highway on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. Take the Steve Irwin Way/Glasshouse Mountains Exit (there is a big sign with Beerburrum, Maleny and Landsborough on it) and drive until you see the Zoo!

There’s something for everyone at Australia Zoo! Eat, shop, play, learn and explore!

Wander through the zoo’s exhibits and learn about the unique animals on show, catch a show or enjoy the many sculptures and beautiful gardens throughout the zoo or book an animal encounter to get up close and personal with the wildest animals in the world!

Exhibits

Australia Zoo offers amazing animal exhibits with different shows and experiences for the whole family!

  • Africa

    • The Africa exhibit is an open-range exhibit where you can see giraffes, zebra, rhinos, cheetahs, lemurs and more!
  • The Crocoseum

    • See many different types of crocodiles (including huge salt-water crocodiles and little baby fresh water crocodiles) in this clear water pond exhibit and wildlife show!
      This exhibit is not only for croc-lovers – see snakes, lizards, and other interesting reptiles!
  • Tiger Temple

    • This exhibit has been built to represent an ancient South-East Asian temple. There are two massive Thai dogs at the entrance, several Balinese huts, bamboo and, of course, Tigers!
  • Elephantasia

    • This exhibit is Australia’s largest elephant facility! See these gentle giants up close!
  • The Laughing Frog Water Park

    • This is a fun filled zone for the whole family! Spectacular wildlife sculptures, water splash play area, huge lolly shop and much more!
