Whether you are in Brisbane on business or pleasure, here is some information on how to get from the Airport to Brisbane Holiday Village as well as some information about getting around Brisbane. Our friendly staff can provide you with more information upon arrival.

Transport between Brisbane Airport and Brisbane Holiday Village


Catching a taxi from Brisbane Airport to Brisbane Holiday Village is perhaps the quickest transport option. Taxi ranks are located in front of the domestic and international terminals.

Inform the driver that your destination is Brisbane Holiday Village, which is located in Holmead Road, Eight Mile Plains. The cost will vary between $60.00 to $90.00 for a standard taxi, which will be dependent on traffic. 

For your return to Brisbane Airport, call Black and White Taxis on 133 222 (within Australia only) to schedule your return transfer. If you require a child restraint, please notify the taxi company upon booking.

Hire Cars

Train/Bus Combination

Take Route APRX – Airport to Robina Express and stop at South Bank Railway Station. Walk 85 metres to the South Bank Busway. 

Take Route 160 – Garden City Depot 160 to Garden City Depot Stop

From Garden City Depot Stop take route 161 to Wishart Outlook which is 20 metres walk from Brisbane Holiday Village.

Getting around Brisbane


The nearest bus stop to Brisbane Holiday Village is just a stone throw away from the main gate, a mere 20 metres away - 'Wishart Outlook Stop' is on route 161. 

From Brisbane Holiday Village the bus will take you to Westfield Garden City Shopping Centre - the major regional shopping centre for the area and then into the CBD. Click here for the timetable for Route 161.

On weekends and public holidays Route 161 will take you to Garden City where you will have to take Route 111 to get into the city.


The train can take you into the City, the Gold Coast and further north to the Sunshine coast. The nearest train station to Brisbane Holiday Village is Fruitgrove station - you will need to take 2 busses to get to the train station. First take Route 161 from Wishart Outlook to Garden City (Upper Mount Gravatt). Then from Garden City, take Route 150 Browns Plains Bus 150 and stop at Fruitgrove Railway Station.

Once you get onto the Beenleigh line you can transfer to other lines from Roma Street Railway and Central Station.


One of the best things to do in Brisbane is to cruise on a CityCat along the Brisbane River. The CityCat stops at places like Southbank, Riverside Centre & New Farm park. Our tip would be to catch one on Sunday because there are good markets at Southbank & the Riverside Centre. CityCat operates from 5.50am until 11.30pm every day.
