Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is located at 708 Jesmond Road, Fig Tree Pocket, Queensland, 4069

General Directions

To get there, take the M2 exit towards Ipswich/Toowoomba, continuing onto the Centenary Hwy/M5 to Fig Tree Pocket Road in Indooroopilly. Take the Fig Tree Pocket Road exit from Centenary Hwy. Continue on Fig Tree Pocket Road, then onto Jesmond Rd to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

Directions From Brisbane Holiday Village

From Brisbane Holiday Village – Turn right out of the village and head down towards the set of lights. Turn right onto Logan Road, follow along until your reach Metroad 2. Turn left onto Kessels Road (Metroad 2) and continue on for 7.3km.

Use the right 2 lanes to merge onto M7 via the slip road to Ipswich/Toowoomba. Continue on M7. Take M5 to Fig Tree Pocket Rd in Indooroopilly. Take the exit for Fig Tree Pocket Rd from M5. Continue on Fig Tree Pocket Rd. Drive to Jesmond Rd in Fig Tree Pocket.

In addition to the animal exhibits at Lone Pine, there are a number of daily shows and activities on offer to guests. learn about your favourite animals and enjoy unique photographic opportunities.

  • Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies
    The kangaroo reserve is home to 150 free-ranging kangaroos and wallabies, as well as three friendly emus. Guests can feed, touch and take photos with our kangaroos and wallabies daily from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Roo food is available at our Ticket Entrance. Donations are welcome.
  • Sheep Dog Show
    Enjoy an insight into Australia’s sheep farming history and farm dog training, as skilled sheepdog handlers and their canine companions herd sheep through various obstacles.
  • Free Flight Raptor Show
    Featuring birds such as eagles, owls, kites and falcons, this show is a great demonstration of the amazing flight and hunting abilities of Australian raptors.

  • The Riverside café is open daily from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
