Now in its eighth year, upon walking into the festival you could be forgiven for thinking you had instantly been transported to Germany, with attention to detail and authenticity that simply astounds. Add in that over 50% of people attending the festival get into the German spirit by donning traditional German dress, and you are in for a cultural treat.
The finest German fare including mouthwatering German sausages, pork knuckles, schnitzels and pretzels, plus an array of sumptuous desserts including traditional Black Forest cakes, Bavarian cheesecakes, and apple strudels will send your taste buds into a frenzy. Not to forget decorated gingerbread hearts – one of the most popular German festival items for all ages. Enjoy handcrafted beers, including Oktoberfest Brisbane’s very own specially brewed beers imported from Germany especially for the festival.
